I’m Kim Rodgers-Melnick, board certified music therapist and founder of Create Music,LLC. I’m passionate about using music to foster creativity, build community and inspire personal growth at all stages of life.
I have been playing piano since the age of 8 and discovered the power of music at the end of life at the age of 15 as I supported my mother through her cancer diagnosis. This experience led me to study music therapy at Wartburg College where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014.
For the past 5 years I have been practicing music therapy in the medical setting, hospice care, in the community setting with early childhood groups, and teaching piano lessons on the East Side of Cleveland. My full resume is available on LinkedIn.
When I’m not practicing music therapy or teaching piano I enjoy biking, running, yoga, plant-based cooking, and spending time with my husband, Sam and my cat, Mango. I am also a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and you can find me over on Instagram @thevibrantside sharing all things health and wellness.
